I have just started with my chickens a year or so ago. I am breeding for my own enjoyment. I have bantam Cochins and I have decided to go with a blue black splash + white color scheme. This spring I lost my rooster so I only have his chicks and the original hen's I started with. They are not good quality color wise. The hen's are all blue. But the blue is just too dark. I have read on here before but I couldn't find it, how do I lighten up these darks blues in next generation?
