My wonderful 4 month old Buff Orpington Cockeral, Lenny, was taken by a fox this morning right out of my front yard! It was 10:30 and they had been out of their coop about 20 minutes...I heard them making noise, looked out, and saw the tradgedy occur...By the time I ran out the front door he was already gone across the street with my little guy...
I am quite sad as we hatched this guy and he was turning out to be a nice boy...I was hoping to have our own hatching eggs for next year...
Now I have to explain it to our 4 year old daughter, who loves her chickens!!
