Daughter wants to know... why do people pay so much for eggs?

The answer to this silly question is the same for the other egg price related thread.

The reason people pay the prices they pay for eggs is..... because they want to. End of story!

Why do you buy a Big Mac? That pretty lipstick? That to die for new magazine with that 'really hot guy' on the cover? That UGLY pair of sun glasses? ..... Because it's an item you want and you're willing to cough up the cash for it.

Ok she is off to bed thank you to those of you that kept it clean, informative and nice. She feels more informed as I do to I couldnt give her any thing other then to make money to buy feed LOL.
Thank you again for helping her out in her quest to figure out why some eggs go for soooo much.
