Day 11 - an unpleasant odor coming from incubator

We are hatching our first batch of eggs. Today is day 11. When I walked into the room where the incubator is, I got a whiff of something unpleasant. What is that?

Check your eggs. One has gone bad. I wouldn't wait too long to do so either. Bad eggs have been known to explode and that is one mess you do not want to clean up. Yuck!

Agree, doesn't sound good. Pick each one up and take a sniff...you'll find the culprit.

I agree you've got a bad one .....do the sniff test...carefully....and get rid of it quickly!! If it's bad enough you can smell it when you come in the room it's pretty far gone already.

Yup!.... Your going to have to dispose of that egg very carefully, I'd have a plastic baggie close by and put it in there so it won't explode on you...Been there...Done that!...

Funky bator smell always means bad egg....

So, every FAQ states on what to do when hatching, but is there a FAQ on what BAD things to look out for? I don't want to redecorate an area with an overripe pre-omlet.
