Day 20 - can I move them to egg cartons?

In mid-staggered hatch of Dorking Chickens - knowing what i've learned over the last 24 hours - I would like to move my 2nd hatch group into egg cartons to keep them from being rolled around by WILD siblings... Is it too late to do that now? And if i were to put them into the cartons, do I put them in large end up, or still do the "side" positioning...

Hm. Not sure I would do that. The chicks in the shell need to move too. But I know exactly how you feel. I have used a flat sink mat to try to prevent them from playing soccer. I'm just not a fan of egg cartons in the bator.

good thought on the sink mat - may employ that on my next go around.
