Hey. I have what is believed to be a Buff Orpington egg, its very small, white, and has some light brown speckles, not dirt though. Anyway, its Day 20 there are some signs of life and by that I mean there is a small dark spot, and a large air sack. I don't here anything when I listen, but it moved on its own, is this normal, is it alive? Any answers would be appreciated, Thanks! Please Help[IMG]

you can do a float test , put in large warm water pan slowing put egg in and see if theres movement. most egg hatch up to 26 days

I totally understand your anxiety at this stage..... do your best to keep calm and read a bit and understand the hatching process.
It takes time and 21 days is ONLY a baseline for hatching....

I would leave it be. the egg doesnt start to incubate until the mother starts to set. i know my girls lay
eggs for like a week(Until they have a clutch like 8 eggs) than start to set and they all hatch within a day or two of each other. the chick breathes thru its shell so i wudnt put it in water. hope this helps
