I'm at Day 20 of incubating eggs under two broody hens. The eggs have been moved around more than usual due to some odd circumstances but not an excessive amount. My problem is that I'm on Day 20 and there's no pips and I'm not really hearing anything from them. Any answers?

Did you count the first day you set them as day 1? The day they were set is day 0, the next day is day 1----24hrs after they were set.

Now let me say this----"""I""" would Never tilt or look under one of My many broodies the last 3 days---Never. She should be in "lock-down" staying on the eggs to raise the humidity to help with the eggs hatching---tilting her any way allows some of the humidity to escape, which Could effect the hatch.

Now after saying this---she is yours and you can do it any way you like. Good Luck

I've only checked the eggs under her when she left the nest. And she was off the nest earlier today. So I looked.

That's not good----well I set 72 in 2015 alone---None of them got off the eggs----not one time the last 2 or so days---some 3 days. How about your set date----was today the 20 day?

OK back to the OP. Are these 2 hens sharing the same nest/eggs? Or 2 different nest? Has there been any time that they were off the eggs a long time during the last 20 days? Have/did you candled the eggs a couple days ago?
