One piped about 2 hours ago. Can hear the little guy inside. Just the one little hole though and nothing since. This being my first hatch the suspense is killing me and my boy. It's only day 20 is that normal to pip this early?

I wouldn't say it's "normal", but I have had eggs hatch on days 18 through to 25, the average is 21 days though and most chicken eggs hatch at around day 21-22. If your incubator temperature was slightly too high they may hatch a day or 2 early and if you hatch smaller than average eggs they may also hatch a bit early. I had a bantam X hen once who's eggs always hatched on day 18.

    Good luck with your hatch!

Ok thanks. I can hear them chirping even with the cover on the incubator. So cool. Two have piped now. Can't wait.

The last pic of the piped egg was the first one that piped about 4 hours ago. There's not a very big hole to get fresh air trough. Is that goin to be ok for the chick

That's the most recent pic. 12 hours since they piped. Is that little of progress normal??
