Okay I started out with 18 (6 that were not great)eggs in the bator and after numerous candelings I was down to 7. Sat night one started pipping and was out Sun morning. Very happy and healthy. To the point I had to move him to the brooder yesterday because he was pecking at the other eggs. But the other eggs do not seem to be doing anything. We candeled them on day 18 before we stopped turning them and then left them alone. All 7 showed movement and definite large chicks in them. So now how long do I wait before we call it quits on them?

This is our first hatch and we are using a Hovabator still air that has really held nice constant temps and humidity. Although since we bought it used (and didn't get a manual) we didn't know that temps should be higher for still air. SO the temps have been right at 99.5-100.3. Humidity was at 58-60% and last 3 days we raised it to 65% but it sometimes gets to 70%.
  2. Since temps were a little low, give them at least 24 or 25 days.
