Day 26 Mallard duck eggs on lockdown.

This it hard to not open the incubator! I want to candle them to see if they are still alive, I can see one definatley twitching but no pips yet and I cant hear them peeping at all. These are our first hatching in an incubator and Im afraid we did everything wrong. They should be here by east, lets hope for the best!

Sometimes mallard eggs take 29 days or so.

Did you see the sticky on hatching?

Great info, thank you, some articles I ready say 26.5 days for mallards and some say 28. Im not going to start worrying until tomorrow. That will be day 28. I really hope they pip soon though!
