I had one pip on saturay night and hatched out on tuesday..
they usually peck a ring around the inside of the egg so yours might have just broken through the shell in another spot.. not a problem, as you will see..

What I have done different this year is to keep my goose eggs in the bator for a couple weeks and then transfer the "growing " ones to a chicken broody. So far, all have hatched that way. I lost a bunch last year right at the end- just heartwrenching
