My kids picked up their 4-H chicks yesterday. They got 12 little barred rock fuzz balls. :) The agent handing them out also gave us an extra that was struggling to make it. They nursed little Judy ;) for a few hours and she regained her strength and now she is running around with all the others. The only difference is, that she can't peep. She moves her mouth and you can hear little puffs of air but she doesn't make any noise. Anybody else ever have this? I guess I'm just wondering if she may have some kind of issue that is treatable or if she's just soundless? Or if maybe in the stress of shipping she lost her voice and might get it back? What will be will be. Just curious.

Woke up this morning and little Judy isn't doing well. Just wants to sleep and is very wobbly when she tries to move. I don't think she isn't drinking or eating. We dipped her beak in water a few times. I suspect this one just wasn't supposed to make it but we'll see I guess.

Just got back home from church and Judy is gone. She was just too weak to make it. I am guessing that her not being able to make any noise was part of a bigger problem.
