We have never had any problem with lice until now. How do I get rid of it? I have replaced the nest, but the mother and all four chicks have the lice.
Is Sevin dust or DE safe to use on day old chicks?

If you want the lice killed right away, use sevin dust. Sprinkle the powder on your fingers and gently rub it onto each chick, avoid the eyes and nostrils. You can treat the hen in the same manner if you wish. Pay particular attention to the areas around vents. Redust them in the same manner in 7-10 days. Same with the nests/coop.
