I have 10 13 week old chicks, and one a bit older rooster. Is it normal for them to sleep a lot during the day? What is normal if there is such a thing?

Thanks for the questions to help me be more specific with this post. :)

They don't free range, yet. When they are awake, they are very active, eating and drinking really well. I just see them in the large house area A LOT, but I'm not out there for hours. I'm guessing since they are active and eating well, especially fresh veggies or fruit n' protein snacks / treats, that they are fine. New mommy syndrome?

    How much is a lot?
For hours on end, for 10-20 minutes a few times a day??
Are they good and active when they are awake?
    Eating-drinking-pooping-pecking around?
Birds do lounge and nap during the day...
...should be ok if other activities are the majority of their days.

No free ranging yet. Gotta get rid of a couple puppies who thinks everything is TOYS.

treat cubes? I put some branches in this morning so they can climb up to the various heights inside the run since none of them are flying up yet. Not familiar with treat cubes. Since they are just 13-16ish weeks old, should I have treats in there all the time or just twice a day?
