Hi. I have never been to a show and was thinking about going to the Dayton Fancy Feather show next weekend. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Is it O.K. to even go to the show if you don't have any entries? I feel kind of silly asking, but before I drive for a couple hours, I want to be sure I don't get turned away at the door. [IMG]

Also, is anyone on the forum planning to attend? Thanks!

It is a great show. Usually weel over 1000 birds and a good sales area. This years show is Saturday only. Anyone can attend and there is no admission. See you there!

Is the show indoors, or in and open air showbarn? I ask because my son could use some time at a poultry show to complete his requirements for 4-H, but his alergies make closed barns kinda difficult.

Is there usually a decent number and variety of chickens for sale at this show? My son needs to get a trio for 4-H and the folks we had made arrangements with have not been getting back to me about getting chicks.

The show is in a closed building. It is an exhibition hall and not dirty & dusty. There will be a good number of birds for sale.

I will be going to just hang out and look at all the beauties!!
If anyone is interested in buying any silkies let me know and I could bring them to the show.
