Hey all,
I am in the process of gathering materials to make my coop. Haven't decided on the design, but have old school clotheslines in the back yard that should do fine as supports for the run. I'm doing the research I need to do this thing right the first time. I plan to have only two or three chickens to start. My neighbors said they don't have a problem unless I get a rooster. No worries!
Since I live in the Sunshine State, I want to use solar cells to power a computer fan for ventilation during hot days and just to keep the air flowing in the coop. I want to scrounge as much materials as possible since I'm working part time for the time being.
Thanks for being the voice of experience for all us newbies out here. It's a jungle!
