Dead chick, Graphic pics. What went wrong? 😭

Is my broody hen a bad mum? Did she step on hatching chick!? Or kill it?

It has fluffiness! Poor chicky!
3 hatched out of 4. Other 3 doing fine.

I am not an expert but it kinda looks like she might've stepped on it while it was close to being fully developed

Sadly I do think that she killed it I'm so sorry i don't think that she stepped on it on purpose

I've had bad experience with previous hen killed all her chicks but 1. ..some a few days, some week or so old

Did all of the chicks hatch together? How many others are there?

It may have gotten squashed, but these things happen and sometimes chicks don't make it. Don't blame yourself. I understand being upset but it's out of your control and just try not to get hung up on it.
