After day 25 and still no movement i put a hole in the air cell to find dead chickens. 1 almost absorbed the entire yoke so i assume they died right before hatch. What did i do wrong. Incubated at 100.4 degrees and then upped humidity to 65 percent at day 18.

Do you have a hygrometer inside your incubator that is calibrated? Or are you just going off the humidity that the incubator is giving you? What about a thermometer, do you have one inside you incubator or more than one to test cold spots and such?

Just reading the one that's in the incubator. Its my 1st time but I noticed the outer membrane was brown and completly separated from the egg shell with no veins or blood at all. Also had small amount of light brown fluid leak out when i pulled a piece of the outer membrane off the chick.

Never go by what the incubator says. A calibrated separate thermometer, & hygrometer will be more accurate. The chicks most likely drowned in their aircell.
