Candled one egg (day 9) this morning and found that ..

    1) The dark embryo was not moving like some of the others unless I moved the egg.
-healthy veining not really seen, maybe on the bottom a little
    2) There was a thick blood ring looking thing on the opposite side of the embryo!

Could this mean the embryo is deceased?

I manually turn it 3 times a day but forgot to do the third turn last night.

These are not shipped but bought from someone on craigslist...some have been stored for a little over 3 weeks.

    The veins

OMG! Funny thing happened. I saw your post and immediately went downstairs with my camera to take a pic. I placed the egg on the candler and tried to get my camera focused on it. As soon as it did, I looked at the screen and something was moving... it was the embryo. YAY! [IMG]

Sorry for the bad quality but here is what the opposite side of the embryo location looked like. You are seeing the veins. I took this pic just now and still confused? Why does this egg not have healthy normal vessals like the others?
