Ok so I have had a big reduction in eggs. I told my DH what I thought was happening. He said there was no way it could happen. Well he should[IMG] listen to me. Because he was wrong and I was right. Wish I had been wrong. But I was not. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] When he came home he checked and their was 2 eggs. (I have 6 hens in there) When he went back to collect eggs in the nesting box was this mean evil thing. My DS is the one who shot him and is holding him. I do not like snakes. I am so glad it did not eat my chickens. Evil snake. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

How many eggs can a snake eat? My son has a 7 foot boa and he only eats 1 or 2 rats a month and can go 6 months without eating anything. Maybe you have more then one or something worse. I really hope not.

I have thought of that. I have 3 coops. All egg production is down. I am just so glad my DH found it. I am petrified of snakes. I would have had a heart attack and died. Stupid snake. [IMG]

It was a black snake. Yes I know they are good for rodent control but not in my coops. Go in my coops and you are dead. Whatever you are. My poor babies. They had to have been terrified. That snake will not bother anyone elses chickens or eat any more eggs.
