I recently came to own 2 ducklings after my neighbor bought them for her toddler. I knew they wouldn’t be well taken car of there and took them in. One of the ducklings has been hobbling around and struggling. He eats and drinks water, but I looked at his foot and it seems to be decaying? I don’t know how to describe. Pictures are attatched below.

What does the bottom of the foot look like?
Can you get a picture of that too?

Could it have been burned or stepped on or something dropped on it's lil foot. Is the bottom looking like the top Or could it have gotten it's foot stuck in something?

What have you done so far for it?
I applied an antibacterial cream I hopes of it doing something to help him, Im at a loss of what to do.

I agree with the others, looks like it got smashed. :(
I'd try some Epsom salt soaks first, but if it's anything like frostbite, it may not regenerate. You could also try some Neosporin, hopefully it won't spread further up the foot.
Has it gotten any worse over time? I'd take a daily photo for comparison and monitoring.
