I am saddened to inform you that I had to put Little Dottie down this afternoon. The vet said her intestine was too compromised and had lost vitality. She seemed so full of life and was eating very well. I thank you all who responded. I think of all the worry and care that I was burdened with, and that perhaps it would have been better to quickly have a vet look at her, but I had very limited resources and thought I would be able to it with your all's guidance, and less expense. It did not work out that way. Thank you Backyard Chicken Community for your help and interest. Going forward, I know I can count on you. I still have three other hens.
So sorry for your loss, Little Dottie RIP. Wished we could have been of more help, you did well. Thank you for updating us.
