Deformed duck egg. Is it safe to eat?

    I'm sorry I don't have an answer. I haven't personally had anything like that in my duck eggs. Maybe cross post to the chicken forum can advise what kind of tissue that is ? I can't tell if it's reproductive tract tissue or perhaps extra ova that were incorporated in that shell.

    I know right? It is gross. I guess my question should be is it safe to eat eggs from a duck that laid one of these. The rest of the eggs she lays are fine but occasionally there is a white thing like this in them. This was the biggest one so far.
