Deformed Egg

    One of my girls layer this deformed egg today. I am correct that this is just something that happens once in a while? My chicks get pellets, scratch, kitchen treats, oyster and egg shells. [​IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

    I don't there is any of us that haven't had the occasional weird egg..
    there is even a whole thread buried somewhere on the forum for folks to post there pics.. I think if it was something she did all the time I would be concerned but the occasional whoops egg is pretty common

    There is probably nothing to worry about. Occasionally they lay something odd.

    Hi there. Fairly new to having chickens. Nothing unusual in hen behavior or egg production until today (some faint wrinkles in the past). when we found this. the egg is completely enclosed. It almost appears to have a secondary top which is where you see that open crater. Wondering if I need to worry? [​IMG]
