we bought this large girl a few months ago. Was told she is a Delaware, but I don't see much black in her tail (only a couple feathers) but she does have the speckling around the neck. She is approx 1.5 years old, lays light brown (sometimes speckled) eggs.

Appreciate any help you can give....thanks!

Could be a hatchery delaware or delaware mix

They lose the yellow color in their legs when they have been laying for awhile.

I'd say hatchery Dellie. Her neck shows barring and I think her leg color is either maturity or a result of hatchery quality.
