The rooster is from my own flock (Janet Holtman stock aka "seriousbill") and I hatched the hen directly from Jesse McDaniel eggs. The roo is 4 months old and the hen is 3 1/2 months old, both were Mareks vaccinated as day olds. Shipping is available, but I prefer local pick up...the roo is a heavyweight.
This is a VERY nice rooster. If it weren't for having more roos coming up, this fella was going to be my next flock master. He's got a perfect 5 point comb, gorgeous yellow legs, nice wing carriage, very broad breast, and his color is great, too. For anyone looking for a nice rooster to add to or improve their flock...this should definitely be the roo to get. Honestly, I just can't find anything wrong with him. That's why he's so big...I had no intentions of selling him...he was going to be the replacement for my current Del roo who is his father. But as we all know...there is such a thing as 1 too many roos.
As for the McDaniel hen....her type is very good even though you can't tell it from the pics. However, her color pattern isn't the best and her legs are definitely lacking the yellow color. But crossing her with this roo should produce some very nice, very meaty, offspring with correct color and type.
