    A newly hatched chick can live for two or three days without any trouble, due to absorbed yolk sac. Older chicks are going to have more trouble. Some will be able to make it for a few days. You are likely to end up with weak chicks, suceptible to disease.

    If at all possible, feed them! Even oatmeal or cracked corn is better than nothing.
