Delmarva 2014 Poultry Show! Who's in?!

Entries are due today for the Delmarva Show in Harrington, DE. The Show is on April 5th and 6th at the Delaware Fairgrounds. Runner ducks are shown in a ring on Saturday Morning! This is an APA district Meet, as well as Seabright, Langshan, Cochin, Sumatra and Olymouth Rock Meet!

Anyone going? We are. This is one of my favorite shows as the hotel across from the show is reasonable, has an indoor pool and breakfast. There is also an ice skating rink in the same parking lot as the show, yes, we will be bringing our skates!
 
We are showing Orpingtons and Black Copper Marans, my daughter is also bringing a Project Cochin for showmanship. My son will also have chicks for sale, it's his favorite thing to do at the shows.. :D

What is your name i will look for ya there. My name is Austin. What type of chicks are you selling?
 
He will have Black Copper Marans, Olive Eggers and possibly some Partridge Orpingtons. My name is Martha, I usually wear my bright blue BYC hooded sweat shirt to the shows, so ya can't miss me.. :frow

Awesome!! I love the Orps. We had a visit from a fox this past week...we think it was a fox anyway. 30 birds out free ranging and the bird it got was our best Black Orp. She is entered in the show. We may bring her sister instead, although I'm not really pleased with the size on this other pullet. The bird we lost 'Fat Betty' just had the nicest head. Really wide. Here she is:



I wish I had a shot from another angle...this one does no justice to her head.
 
Nice iv seen some of your orps on the other threads.Sorry to hear about your lose.Your hen looks really nice type,and I no you cant beat those wide heads lol.
 
I go every year - one of my favorite shows! Staying at the host hotel this year. I always include a visit to the great western wear shop across the road, and a visit to the Casino Buffet! I'll be showing LF Faverolles. I also will have two Buff Orpington hens for sale - older, so don't rely on too many eggs, although they are still laying - and BQ Langshan pullet. Have to make room for new chicks.
