wendyspace, please post what works for you. DH has a collection of health problems (I blame him stressing out over his job). Diabetes, high blood pressure, high chloresterol, 50 lbs overweight, the works. His big downfall is food. I am at wits end with him.
Blood sugar problems run both sides of our family. [IMG]

Not really an expert but I have a child with diabetes, so I know about type 1 but not so much about type 2.

Quote:I was diagnosed 3 years ago, and yes it runs in my family- i have been on byetta for 2 years and it has regulated my bloodsugar, and i have lost 40 pounds, a side effect of byetta. might have the dr put him on that, its a shot twice a day, but they are finding it heals the pancreas which is what regulates the bloodsugar

I'm not sure if you are looking for info about type 1 or type 2, but I've had type 1 for 15, going on 16 years. Feel free to PM me any questions. I've been through the works and I know the disease pretty well.
