    Hi,

I would like to have some diamond doves in my aviary.
In this aviary I currently have 10 Canaries and 4 Chinese Painted Quail.
Will Diamond Doves be OK with them

    Thanks

Depends, how big is the aviary? It might work, but diamond doves are so delicate I'd worry the others would bully them.

They're commonly kept with painted quail, finches etc, n should do fine if canary are not to aggressive over nests or feed.

They will be very happy in there.... so long as the aviary is big and has lots of perches and different feeding places... so one bully bird won't be able to take over the feed dish.

I had these doves with different finches, Japanese and Chinese Quail, and canaries. Never a proble and they breed very well.

Just don't put doves in with parakeets and other 'hook bill' birds... as these birds are too aggressive and play too hard... and will bite the doves feet.

Thanks for the replies, I have decided against doves due to aviary size (its not very big).
