We have a few older hens, about 2-3+ years not sure really we kind of adopted them from a farmer... The last little while though I've noticed that there's been some droppings that are runny/ goopy looking, and I think it's just two of the hens that have it as i can see the runny poop on their butt feathers. Is this something to be concerned about or is it just maybe they ate something and it will go away? there doesn't appear any blood or anything in the poop, just really loose looking. Any ideas on what could be causing this? as far as i know all the chickens are exposed to the same stuff but only the two have the runny poop These hens also are not laying much (all 6) were lucky right now if we get 1 egg a day, but were suspicious they may be laying elsewhere then the nesting box and were not finding the eggs? Over the winter we would get between 1-2 eggs a day quite frequently, but with it spring we expected an increase not a decrease!
