diarrhea

We have five 2-week old baby chicks. One of them has diarrhea. We are feeding them chick feed, water with electrolytes. Any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Sometimes our day olds poop out some nasty runny stuff, but its nothing to worry about.
Do your chicks have any other symptoms?

The one chick that has the diarrhea has a piece of hard poop stuck to the area below its butt, we have been unable to get it off, it screams!! could that be the cause? All the other chicks seem fine to me -

By below its butt, do you mean it is not covering its vent?
How are you trying to get it off?

No, it is not covering the vent. The poop is not quite as watery today, but still more liquid than the others. We have used olive oil with water, but no luck.
