Hi guys,
OK I just bought 50 lb of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth - Perma-Guard, Now I am wondering if I just bought 10 years worth of it ...lol
I'm going to put some in their coop and in the run area. My chicks are coming next week should I wait for them to get older before dusting them and putting it in their food? Any other ideas for using the DE?
Thanks
Rhonda

Wow, thats alot but has alot of different uses. It would cost you more to buy many smaller bags over the next year.. I put it on the grass where my dogs are in the yard. Its a great bug preventative.

Thanks guys.
I think I got a good deal on it with shipping it was 55.00. It works out to 1.10 a pound that way. The smaller bags were much more. I bought it from Ebay.
Take care
Rhonda

I did the same thing. It just makes more sence that way.I can't buy it locally so this is the only way. I've had it since last year and the bags still full.I sprinkle it all over in the coop and dust them with it.Also put it in their feed. Also use it for the cats (dust them with it and mix it in their canned food)

We also use DE to keep the ants out of the house. DH fills an old baby powder shaker with DE and sprinkles it all around the foundation of the house.
