today we were cleaning the coops and noticed my duck was sitting on a nest of broken, rotten eggs. i mean she was slick with egg gunk and stunk so i filled a pool for her and she got to bathing. we then salvaged the one egg left, put it in the broody dog crate in the coop and put her egg and some bedding from the nest ( what was clean) in the cage. I also added 6 blrw eggs and 3 polish to make up fo rthe 9 that she broke.

She's been quacking all night and sits next to the eggs but not on them that ive seen yet. she moves them around some and nudges the bedding some too.

whats the chance she'll sit again? she was off her nest and in the coop for about 6 hours before i came and put her in the crate.

I doubt she will sit now.. But if she does and the one baby does hatch you will want to pull the remainder of the eggs so she doesnt neglect the baby to sit....
