I recently purchased a Leahy Favorite 1650 Redwood Incubator. It is rated at 445 watts. I was wondering is there a digital thermostat that I can upgrade to that will handle the 445 - 500 watts (if I upgrade the heat strips). all I have been able to find are the digital ones on Incubator Warehouse and the highest they are rated is 350 Watts. Please help if you can

Use a separate solid state relay to handle the higher wattage of the heat elements. Thermostat will cycle only the relay, which requires almost no wattage to function. This way you can use almost any thermostat to control higher wattage elements.. You will need to match up the control voltage of the relay ( ac or dc ) with the out put of the thermostat.
