Hi I have a lame chook who manages to still be the boss. lays the most eggs and hogs the food! We are currently experiencing some hot summer weather (40 celsius +) and I have noticed that on these days she gets a dirty bottom - pooh on her feathers - she doesn't move around much on these days as it obviously uses too much energy in the heat. I just give here a quick bath to help clean her up at the end of the day. Should I be doing anything else and is this normal for hot weather? Cheers Donna PS Maybe she is doing it on purpose to get a "swim" at the end of the day!!!!
