Hi. We were butchering our turkey for thanksgiving today and this is what the liver looked like, can anyone tell me why it would look like this? And is it safe to eat? Thanks

There was definitely a problem. What it was, I couldn't say. The green in the liver is Bile backed up in the system for some reason. The liver is not safe to eat.

Provided the bird wasn't sick looking or emaciated and the other organs looked fine it should be fine to eat.

I did a quick search and came across blackhead in turkeys having livers similar to yours. I've never had or butchered turkeys so I have no experience there.
If the turkey looked healthy and the meat looks normal I'd still eat it, just toss the organs.
