diseased wild birds!

    I have observed several wild crows with swollen red patches on their faces. I'm pretty worried it could be some kind of viral pox that could spread. Some ravens are affected also. I'm going to notify the fish & game.

    Are you sure you're not spotting meadowlarks?

    Im in southeast Alaska, no meadowlarks here. Plus ravens are huge and real common. It's disturbing seeing it on an all black bird, very noticeable! I hope its nothing too serious or contagious to other species.
