What is the bumblefoot disease? I really don't know much about it. Is it a threat to the chicken's lives? Is it contagious? Is bublefoot disease like warts? Can you get rid of it with a medicine? Do you have to take the chicken to a vet to have it operated on?

It is an abcess on the foot. It is staph infection, so yes it is potentially very dangerous. Here's some info- a couple good threads about bumblefoot.

First off, no need to worry (too much) about it.
Prevalence of any disease can be different depending on your location/conditions. You might want to connect with other locals to see what they find. Then be prepared for the common problems.
Practice good chicken keeping practices,
Keeping the coop/run area as clean as feasible.
Clean fresh food and water, etc.

My chickens have just been diagnosed with MG. I have culled nearly 70 birds and I have about 30 left. Worst thing Ive ever had to do. My best advice that I had received was to kill all and start new.

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's tough. You're doing the right thing. I'd do the same.
