One of our hens (5 years old) has an injury of some type, may have happened jumping down off the roost or mounted by our large rooster. She seems to be able to stand upright on both legs, but she isn't able to maneuver her right leg, she just pushes it in front of her and hops on the other leg. Any suggestions on how to determine the type of injury (broken or dislocated leg or hip) without taking her in to an avian specialist? Also, any suggestions on rehabilitation? I've moved her into a large kennel to limit her movement.

Hey! Im so sorry about your hen. Im praying for healing! I am not a pro with this stuff but I may be able to help you if you wouldn't mind sending a picture?

Can you provide some photos or a video of her? For video, upload to youtube and provide a link.

It's likely injury, but humor me, does she have any bloat or fluid in the abdomen or a lump under the abdomen below the vent between her legs? When is the last time she laid an egg?

Here's a splinting manual that you may find helpful. https://theiwrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Duerr_Splinting_Manual_2010.pdf

her belly is very soft and mushy (I can't feel any egg), not sure how to tell if there's bloating or fluid). Not sure when she last laid, she's at least five years old, so she may be past laying age (I don't cull).

I would move toward treating as injury then. Hopefully you can stabilize her leg somehow or even place her in sling for short periods of time to give her some relief.
