I was sorting cartons that my customers give me the other day and came across this one.

Now I grew up down to Central Florida so over the years I've seen just about every conceivable item with the Disney brand on it, but these are a new one to me. I was visiting friends down south yesterday and they tell me they've recently seen television ads about Disney eggs so I guess they're in the grocery stores in the greater Orlando area anyway.

Anyone else see them? What state/area did you see them in?

Is there anything that Disney won't sell?

These are a new one to me. But I have seen Disney potatoes. [IMG] ''Did you know that eating one potato gives you the energy to ride your bike for suchandsuch a length of time?" Goofy says so.

Of course there is a certain amount of precedent I suppose.

Wikiepedia tells me that Donald Duck Orange Juice has been around since 1940.

We've got orange juice and eggs. Disney ham or bacon anyone?

    I would be very worried...

Judging by the carton, these appear to be one dozen Mouse eggs.

But they are Grade A mouse eggs, at least.

(or were these fine eggs simply laid by "Goofy" chickens. And are we
    expected to eat goofy things?)

I can't see anyplace where it says they're chicken eggs--you know there are a lot of birds in Disney World, you don't suppose.....???

I have to say, at first I found this amusing. A moment later I found it disturbing.

The Disney empire isn't large or profitable enough? It somehow doesn't seem right that they should be horning in on food.
I find this spin on greed a little unsettling.

Yep, I saw those here in St.Pete. So did my three year old son, who of course begged for the "Mickey Eggs", because that is what they are encouraging - demanding kids and weak parents. I refused, and explained that our eggs are much better than Mickey's eggs. He believed me, but of course he is used to not getting all the stuff marketed to him all over the grocery store. (He gets a few things, but knows begging is useless).

ETA - They also sell chicken nuggets in the shape of Mickey Mouse heads.

I already don't trust store bought eggs one bit, but eggs under Disney's name? Oh come'on! Those oughtta be terrible. . .
