We have 10 seven week old cornish chicks, most of them have developed a larger sized right breast that when touched seems very hard. Has anyone seen this before or can anyone tell me what this might be?
The left side of breast is normal sized and feels okay.

Any help would be appreciated.

That is the crop. It holds the food for 'processing' so to speak. It should be full in the evening after having eaten. If you check in the morning before they wake up and get to eating again, you'll find that you can't feel the crop anymore - or it's much much smaller.

If it isn't small or flat by morning, then there's a problem. But it's supposed to get big when they eat.
