I wanted to start a thread about the unique markings of chicks we hatch.

I got one on the 13th who's marking is so easy to distinguish, we already knew what his name would be. So I introduce to you... Eightball!

He's a Plymouth Rock/Ameraucana cross. (Not even really certain if it's a he or she, but I've been using he in the meantime.) The interesting thing is, he hatched with exactly EIGHT dots on his head as well - six in a line straight back from his beak, and one right behind each eye. Aside from those, there are no other black markings in his fuzzy down. The only other black appeared when his feathers came in! But I really hope he has some resemblance of the number when the feathers come in on his back!

Do you have any odd coloring or markings on one of your chicks? Let's see them!

I don't have anything to add, but that is really neat!

    Hopefully you will one day!
Just waiting for the one "mini-moo" equivalent that makes a killing with Disney... lol!
