I have 5 Blue Red Laced Wyandotte chicks, one is supposed to be a roo - any tips on telling which one is which? they were hatched February 25th and are almost 4 weeks old now. TIA

The combs and wattles of the males will be bigger and redder than the female's. Also, male chickens feather out much slower than females. A female could be totally feathered out while a male of the same age and breed still has a some fuzzys left. You should check out the Wyandotte thread! It sounds like you have a nice breed!

Thanks, I think I have all pullets by that description - I guess that's the way it goes, you don't want a roo and you get one or more, want one and you don't get one! Just my luck!
