Does the deep litter method work in duck houses?

Quote:Yes it will, do you have the cold winters to need to use that method? Usually it is started in late Fall and continued to Spring thaw. It might tend to be a little smelly during the heat of the summer.

Should I use the pine shavings then like they do for chickens?

we're building their house right now, can I do it with a dirt floor, or should I make a floor and put it on top? Wifezilla, you use hay as well?
