Do Black Jersey Giants have green tinting to their feathers?

    I have 2 black chickens and I thought they were Black Australorps but one is a lot bigger then the other and they are both the same age (15 weeks). They both have a green tint to their feathers. Is it possible the bigger one could be a Black Jersey Giant? I can get pictures if needed. Thank you. [​IMG]

    Yes, and they're beautiful with that green glint!!

    The bottom of JG's feet are yellow, btw. BAs are white on the bottom of their feet.

    Any black chicken should have a green sheen to it's feathers.
