I just got this rooster he is about 6 months old and his legs are yellow. The rest of my BO legs are white. Is he a pure breed? If not, does anyone know what he is.

Could be a Buff Rock; they look similar.

Me, neither, but so many people have received Buff Rocks when they ordered Buff Orps, that it seems a distinct possibility.

    Buff Orpingtons have white legs....

A mix can have yellow or a Buff rock have yellow ....

I think the buff rocks are a more slender bird ...correct me if I'm wrong...

His legs are so yellow compared to my white legged BOs. His beak is also more yellow. He is huge for 6 months. Well, compared to my BO 13 wk Caesar. [IMG] I was told he was purchased from McMurray Hatchary.

Oh, yeah, I also really dusted him with DE when he got home. I inspected really good for any "little friends" and he passed my test. That is why he is a little lighter, he is dowsed with DE. [IMG]
