Ok, Im building a coop *similar* to this https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=20741 see how on this one has storage on the left, well wat if on the right, I took the same amount of space & made a bunny house... & then the bunnies & chickens could be in the run together.... (my run is going to be tall though... im putting this in an L shape around my shed so i plan to put the coop & run roof in line with the shed roof...) So! do bunnies & chickens like each other? would the chickens try to eat the bunnies?

Also, has anyone ever tried this? It looks like something I'd think they would enjoy....

This gets asked once a week. No. Its dangerous to keep them together. They can pass diseases back and forth. Rabbits tendto kick and bite, and chickens can peck at eyes. The way to properly house rabbit is to give it its own space in a cage away from the chickens. You can house them in the same building. The chickens should not be able to come into contact with them. Some will come in here say its OK and its fine. But its not. They also have different nutritional and dietary needs as well. rabbitsneed pellets which is high in fiber and low in protien. Chicken feed is too high in protien for them and cause a very deadly disease called enteritis. Its also very high in corn. Which is also a nono to feed a rabbit.

Also looked at the link. Thats too small keep rabbits and chickens in anyhow. A couple of rabbits, or a couple of chickens woul dbe ok in it. I would not mix the two together. Esp when it involves space that small.

I totally agree with the above posts
