do chickens get hiccups?

One of my girls made a series of sharp, high pitched, unusual noises this morning for no apparent reason. At first I thought she was sneezing but it went on a bit longer and I wondered if they were hiccups.

Did it sound like a goose choking? My chickens will make a noise like that when they take a bite that is too big, or if they manage to get into and eat the kitty litter.

Yes, I guess it's gooselike! Would say you're probably right that she swallowed something too big, or it went down wrong.
