I've read that chickens like to listen to classical music. Is this true? I've been leaving the classical station on for them.

Good idea. I play a "Classical Music for Little Ones" while my eggs are incubating. Just keeps them from getting bored during their 21 days and gives them something to listen to.

I've thought about putting classical music in the coop for the chicks and that way it will soothe them and also cover any noise they might make so the neighbors won't complain. My coop is in close proximity to the neighbors back corner. I love classical music and think chickens would too! [IMG]

Some people say that its like playing calm music while milking, it makes them produce more. I noticed that when I play music while milking the goats they produce maybe a half pint more. I have a friend that has music everywhere on his farms, he says it keeps the critters calm and keeps predators away.

Yes, they like Bach (Bok), and Brahms (at least Brahmas do).
